This one particular boar seemed to want to fish from our bank, but then turned to sniff at us. He was definitely less than 6 feet away. I'm pretty sure everyone trying to take his picture was also beginning to inch away. Our bear guide stood up, and the boar went away. There's something about being 6 feet away from a huge male bear with a bloody muzzle. Certainly an Alaskan memory not soon to be forgotten.
