Congratulations Megan and David! Great incentive to get us back to Seattle. And good inspiration for our next blog. . . . Chris and Karina's Wedding. Coming to a computer near you in Fall 2008. Posted by Picasa

Finally made it home in 4 or 5 days of driving. The Black panther looks a bit tired, but she did us well in getting us home in time for our friends Megan and David's wedding. Posted by Picasa

Watch out for Buffalo on the road. They don't seem to mind standing on the highway. Maybe they're looking for a good challenge with a VW bug. Posted by Picasa

Beautiful, but fast drive back to Seattle. Fall colors out in force. Posted by Picasa

One last goodbye to the Kodiak front desk. What a joy it was working at KIMA. Doubt I'll ever have such a great job. Posted by Picasa

The Family left today, September 3rd. I think we filled every last possible second while they were in Kodiak despite the rain.

We have one more week left in Kodiak. Karina's off work, so she'll have time to pack up the place. I'm working until the bitter end, and then a bit more. Karina will leave on Monday September 11th to take our car over to Homer by ferry. I have to work in the ER until September 12th at 8am then clean up my clinic desk and house. I'm to Rendezvous with Karina in Anchorage later this afternoon by plane.

Of course, just as we're pulling into camp, Uncle Randy finally caught a Silver Salmon just hours before we were to be picked up to leave. Posted by Picasa

We did find a lot of other things. Notice the Korean writing. Posted by Picasa

We're at dead bird beach. Beautiful beach with the Katmai coast in the background. This is a nice beach for beachcombing too. Of course, we were looking for glass balls, which are small to large glass spheres that the Japanese used to use for buoys, but weren't that optimistic about finding them. Posted by Picasa

We love moss. Posted by Picasa

Karina and I had to go on the hike too after all the good things we heard. We barley made it back in time for the plane to arrive. Posted by Picasa
